Its special, organic outline sets it apart from a plain round or rectangular bowl, and it is large enough to anchor a vanity on its own: 23.6 inches wide, 17.7 inches long and 5.9 inches high. The stone has a light, neutral tone that brings warmth to a bathroom without looking heavy. Because each sink is cut from its own block, the colour shifts, veining and small pattern changes across the surface are never repeated, and no two installations look the same. It is a centerpiece for a powder room or a primary ensuite, chosen for the stone and the hand finishing rather than for a catalogue look.

Honed, filled and softly curved

The surface is honed and filled. Honing gives the travertine a smooth matte face that shows the full character of the stone and does not throw glare under vanity lights. Filling closes the natural pores and pits that travertine forms as it grows, which leaves fewer places for water, soap and grime to collect than an unfilled surface would. The construction is curved throughout, with smooth transitions between the walls and the base and rounded edges at the rim, so there are no sharp crevices where debris can settle. Water marks and fingerprints are easy to clean off the finished surface. Travertine forms in layers, and the subtle bands and colour shifts that result are part of the stone, not defects. Moderate colour variation between sinks is normal, so the exact shade and pattern of each piece will differ.

Honed and filled A smooth matte face with the natural pores of the travertine filled.

Curved construction Rounded walls and edges, with no tight crevices to trap grime.

Made for a powder room

A powder room is small and guest-facing, and the whole look is set by one vanity. That is where a sink like this does the most work: It draws the eye, and the light beige sits easily in traditional and contemporary rooms alike, next to wood, plaster, painted cabinets or stone walls. It suits spaces where use is moderate, mostly hand washing, and where the design matters as much as the plumbing. In a primary ensuite it works well on a wide vanity with room on either side. At 23.6 by 17.7 inches the basin is generous, with space for hand washing, cosmetic use and small rinsing jobs, and it fits with typical bathroom plumbing without special changes to the vanity. Because it sits above the counter, it also raises the basin, which many people find comfortable, especially taller users.

Size 23.6" W × 17.7" L × 5.9" H, solid beige travertine.

Finish Honed and filled, a smooth matte surface.

Plan the counter and faucet

This sink is installed over the countertop. Solid travertine is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the drain in the sink, which takes a standard 1.5 inch drain, and the sink is set in silicone to hold it in place and seal the joint. With the rim 5.9 inches above the counter, the faucet has to reach over it, so a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout is needed. Decide on the faucet before the counter is cut so the faucet hole or the supply lines in the wall can be placed to match the sink. An experienced installer is the safest choice for a piece of this size and weight.

Why we chose it

Carved one at a time Each sink is shaped individually from solid travertine, so the outline and the stone pattern are unique.

Filled surface The filled pores leave fewer pits for water and grime than unfilled travertine.

Made to order Each sink is made to order, with custom sizes and finishes on request.

Made to order

This sink is made to order on two schedules for the same size and finish: the 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. If the standard size does not fit the vanity, the sink can also be made in a custom size or finish. Natural stone is sealed at installation and resealed periodically after that, and how often depends on how much the sink is used.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0873/7875/5777/files/Natural-Stone-Light-Travertine-Special-Shape-Vessel-Sink-Honed-and-Filled-_W_23_6_-_L_17_7_-_H_5.9_roomscene.jpg?v=1790877081
