Beige Hand Carved Travertine Stone Vanity Wall Mounted Bathroom Sink

Fluted beige travertine on the wall

This rectangular wall-mount sink is hand-carved from a single block of beige travertine quarried in Turkey. Travertine is known for its organic texture and warm, earthy tones, and it brings a calm, natural feel to a bathroom. The sink measures 24 inches long, 20 inches wide and 6 inches high. The outside is fluted, the basin inside is smooth, and because each piece is carved from its own block, no two sinks are ever exactly the same.

Fluted outside, smooth inside

The contrast is the point of this design. Vertical flutes run around the exterior, giving the sink a sculptural, architectural edge, while the basin inside is smooth and refined for daily use. The stone is polished inside and out, which brings up the warmth of the beige and the movement in the stone. Travertine carries subtle earthy tones, delicate veining and the small surface holes the stone forms as it grows, and every sink shows its own mix of colour striations and surface character. Those marks are part of genuine travertine, not defects, and moderate colour variation between sinks is normal, so the shade of each piece will differ slightly from the next. Every sink represents hours of skilled stonework, carving the flutes by hand into the solid block.

• Fluted exterior Vertical ribs carved by hand into the solid travertine.
• Polished finish A smooth, polished surface inside and out that brings up the warm beige.

Open floor, roomy basin

A wall-mounted sink visually expands a bathroom because the floor beneath it stays open. That makes this sink a strong choice for small bathrooms and powder rooms, and its floating installation suits a modern room as easily as a traditional one with plaster walls and wood accents. At 24 inches long and 20 inches wide, the basin gives generous room for daily washing without taking up floor space, and its 6 inch height gives a comfortable basin depth. Travertine has long been used in bathrooms and spas for its warmth, and here it pairs well with brass, bronze or black fittings and with wood or stone floors. The drain opening takes a standard 1.5 inch drain, so most plumbing fixtures connect without modification.

• Size 24" L × 20" W × 6" H, one piece of travertine.
• Drain Standard 1.5" drain for common plumbing fixtures.

Plan the wall before it arrives

This is a wall-mount sink, and solid travertine is heavy, so the wall needs solid backing. Blocking between the studs at the mounting height is the usual approach, and it is simplest to add while the wall is open. The sink hangs on brackets fixed into that blocking. Because there is no vanity, the faucet is usually wall-mounted above the basin, so the supply lines should be placed in the wall at the right height before it is closed. The drain and trap stay visible beneath the sink, which makes a neat finished drain worth planning. A professional installer is recommended, for the weight and so the drain and supply lines line up cleanly.

Why we chose it

• Hand-carved flutes The ribbed exterior is carved into the stone by hand, one sink at a time.
• Ages with character With sealing and care, travertine keeps its natural look for decades and develops a patina.
• Made to order Each sink is made to order, with custom sizes and finishes available on request.

Custom sizes

Every sink is made to order, on one of two production schedules: the 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. If 24 by 20 inches does not suit the wall, this fluted sink can also be made in a custom size or finish. To start a custom order, contact us with the measurements of the space.

Care

Travertine is a porous calcite stone, sensitive to acids such as lemon and vinegar, which can etch and dull the polished surface. A natural stone sealant protects it, and how often it is reapplied depends on use, typically every year or so.
