Carrara White Marble End Table with Marble Legs Polished 18x22

Carrara White end table on marble legs

This end table is made from Carrara White marble quarried in Turkey and handcrafted by skilled Turkish stoneworkers. The top is polished and the legs are solid marble, so the whole piece is natural stone. Gray veins run across a white ground, and because the pattern is natural, no two tables are alike, with moderate variation between pieces. The top measures 18 inches (D) and the table stands 22 inches high, a size for the side of a sofa, a bedside or an entryway.

Polished top, marble legs

With a solid marble top and marble legs, the table is a functional piece with real substance rather than a decorative accent. The polished finish amplifies the luminosity of the white stone and brings the gray veining forward, a clean look that works in modern minimalist rooms and classic schemes alike. Polish also leaves a smooth surface that is easy to keep clean. Each table is cut, polished and finished with attention to the stone's natural qualities. The solid construction means there is no veneer to wear through; if refinishing is ever needed, a professional can restore the surface.

• Solid marble legs Legs in the same Carrara White as the top.
• Polished top A bright finish that brings the gray veining forward.

Sofa side, bedside, entry

At 22 inches high, the table sits beside a sofa or armchair at a comfortable reach, works as a nightstand in a modern bedroom and stands in an entryway for keys and a lamp. The compact top leaves room around it in a tight layout, and the piece moves between rooms as needs change. Carrara White pairs with leather sofas, mid-century furniture and minimalist settings, and in a busier, maximalist room its veining becomes the anchor. Contemporary and transitional living rooms are its natural home, and a pair on either side of a sofa or a bed makes a balanced arrangement.

• Size 18" (D) × 22" H, solid marble.
• Stone Carrara White marble from Turkey, polished.

Delivery and setup

Solid marble is heavy for its size, so two people should carry the table and set it in place. A level floor keeps the legs steady; on uneven ground a stone table will rock. Felt pads under the legs protect wood and tile floors. Once placed, the weight of the stone keeps the table from wobbling, so it stays where it is put.

Care

Carrara White is a natural, porous calcite marble with a polished surface. Acidic substances such as wine, citrus or vinegar can etch it, leaving dull spots, and water rings can form if spills sit. Sealing helps the stone resist stains, and how often it is resealed depends on use. Minor marks develop into a patina over time, which many owners see as the mark of real stone.
