Carrara White Marble Square Coffee Table Top - Polished Finish

Carrara White marble square coffee table

This square coffee table is made from first-grade Carrara White marble quarried in Turkey. It comes in five sizes, 28, 32, 36, 40 or 48 inches square, each 16.5 inches high, with a polished top on metal legs painted black or white. In a living room, the stone becomes part of the architecture rather than just another piece of furniture.

Feathery veining, square form

Carrara is known for its white to blue-gray ground and feathery gray veining, which is why it remains a popular choice for marble furniture. Marble forms deep in the earth under heat and pressure, and that process gives every slab its own veining and colour movement, so no two tables are identical. The polished finish catches light and gives a neutral white top dimension. The top is 3/4 inch thick, with the visual weight of solid stone, and the metal legs add a contemporary line beneath it. The result is a table that works as furniture and as a piece of natural stone to look at every day.

• Polished Carrara White A 3/4 inch marble top with soft gray veining.
• Black or white legs Painted metal legs in two colours.

A square for every room size

The square silhouette and neutral white palette make the table easy to place. It anchors a contemporary minimal interior, adds classic restraint to a traditional living room, and works as the focal point in a transitional room where modern lines meet classic proportions. The 28 and 32 inch sizes suit compact seating, 36 and 40 inches fit most living rooms, and 48 inches fills the middle of a large sectional. All five stand 16.5 inches high. Black legs outline the white top, and white legs keep the whole piece light.

• Sizes 28", 32", 36", 40" or 48" square, all 16.5" H.
• Legs Black painted or white painted metal.

Placing solid marble

A solid marble top is heavy in every size, so two or more people should handle delivery and placement. Choose a level spot so the legs bear evenly. Felt pads under the legs protect wood and tile floors. Lift the table into position rather than sliding it. For the 40 and 48 inch sizes, measure doorways and turns on the way to the room before delivery day.

Care

Carrara White is a porous calcite marble with a polished surface. Acidic substances such as lemon juice, vinegar, wine or coffee can etch and dull the polish, and oils, dyes and pigmented foods can be absorbed if left to sit. Sealing helps protect it, and how often the top is resealed depends on use. With care, marble serves a home for decades and develops its own character.
