Carrara White, honed and rectangular

This rectangular sink is handcrafted from Carrara White marble quarried in Turkey. Soft white tones carry gray veining that runs across the surface like fine brushstrokes, and each piece is one of a kind. It measures 16 inches wide, 24 inches long and 5 inches high, and it sits on top of the vanity, compact enough for a standard cabinet while still giving the room a clear focal point.

A matte finish with gray veins

The honed finish is matte rather than glossy. It shows fewer water marks and fingerprints than a high-gloss surface, and its soft texture hides small marks and fine scratches better over time, which suits a busy bathroom. The edge profile is smooth and simple, with curved edges and no sharp corners where grime can collect. The sink is carved as one solid piece, so there are no seams or joints to open up. Because each sink is handcrafted from natural stone, the veining and moderate color variation differ from piece to piece.

Bathroom vanity or kitchen

The sink is made for a bathroom vanity and also suits a kitchen or bar counter where a shallow rectangular basin is useful. It works well in contemporary and transitional rooms, where the matte white stone reads clean and organic. There are no pre-drilled faucet holes, which leaves full freedom to place a wall-mounted faucet at the height and position that suits the room, or a tall deck faucet behind the sink. The basin has no overflow, keeping the inside of the sink clean and simple.

Setting it on the vanity

This sink sits on top of the vanity. The top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry solid marble, and a drain hole is cut in it to line up with the sink's drain. The sink is set in a bead of silicone. Since there are no faucet holes in the stone, the faucet position is best decided early: a wall-mounted faucet needs its supply lines in the wall before it is closed, and a deck faucet needs a hole in the vanity top behind the sink. A professional installer is recommended.

Custom sizes

Care

Carrara White is a porous calcite marble with a honed surface. Acidic cleaners and liquids can etch it, and the stone is protected with a sealer. How often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used.
