Handcrafted Silver Travertine Vessel Sink Polished Natural Stone Bathroom Basin 16 Inch

Silver travertine, polished round bowl

This round vessel sink is handcrafted from Silver travertine quarried in Turkey, a gray stone with natural veining and colour variation. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, and it sits on top of the vanity, so the only cut in the counter is a simple drain hole. Every sink is shaped from its own piece of stone, which makes each bowl one of a kind, and its quiet gray suits a traditional bathroom as well as a more modern one.

Polished gray, inside and out

The finish is polished on both the interior and the exterior. The smooth, reflective surface brings out the veining in the gray stone and bounces light around the vanity, which helps a small bathroom feel brighter. The bowl has smooth, rounded edges and thick walls, which give it stability on the counter and help limit splashing. Travertine is naturally porous, and this sink is sealed during production to resist daily moisture, mineral buildup and soap scum. The stone formed in hot springs, and it handles the temperature changes of daily bathroom use under normal conditions. Moderate variation in colour and veining between sinks is normal, and over time the stone develops character rather than looking worn.

• Polished finish A smooth, reflective surface inside and out that shows the gray veining.
• Sealed in production The porous stone is sealed before it ships, to resist moisture and buildup.

Where the gray bowl fits

Gray travertine is softer and warmer than a cold white stone, and this bowl suits a traditional bathroom with painted cabinetry or a transitional room with wood and satin metal. In a powder room it becomes the focal point of the vanity; in a primary bath its 16 inch diameter leaves space on the counter around it. Because the bowl sits higher than a recessed sink, the basin meets the hands at a natural, comfortable height. The drain opening takes a standard 1.5 inch drain, and the bowl works with a standard vessel faucet on the deck or a spout mounted on the wall behind it.

• Size 16" diameter × 6" H, solid Silver travertine.
• Drain 1.5" drain opening for a standard drain.

A drain hole, not a cutout

This is an above-counter sink. There is no recess to cut and no complex plumbing change, only a drain hole in the counter lined up with the drain in the bowl. Solid travertine is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it, and the bowl is set in silicone to hold it in place and seal the joint. With the rim 6 inches above the counter, the faucet needs to reach over it: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is drilled so the holes and supply lines can be placed to match.

Why we chose it

• Simple to install Only a drain hole in the counter, with no recess to cut.
• Sealed before shipping The travertine is sealed in production against moisture and mineral buildup.
• Made to order Each sink is made to order, with custom sizes and finishes on request.

Made to order

This sink is made to order on two schedules: the 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. The bowl can also be made in a custom size or finish. To start a custom order, contact us with the measurements of the counter.

Care

Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acids such as vinegar or lemon can etch the polished surface. This sink arrives sealed from production, and how often it is resealed depends on use, typically once or twice a year.
