Light Travertine Natural Stone Designer Console Table - Premium Handcrafted Honed Finish

Light travertine console, sphere base

This console is carved entirely from light travertine quarried in Turkey: solid stone from the top down to the base, with no metal frame or veneered top. The base is built from stacked travertine spheres that show the stone's warm beige undertones and organic veining, and the long top rests above them. It measures 40 inches long, 15 inches wide and 32 inches high, with a honed finish. Each console is handcrafted by skilled stone workers, and the stone is selected so that every table is one of a kind.

Stacked spheres, honed stone

The stacked-sphere bases give the piece its character: round, sculptural forms that read as architecture rather than ordinary furniture legs. The top seems to float above them. The honed finish is smooth but matte, without a high gloss, a balance that suits warm, minimal interiors and does a better job of hiding the small scratches that come with daily use in a busy entry. Travertine has an open grain, and with time the marks it gathers age into a patina rather than looking like flaws.

• Stacked-sphere base Rounded travertine forms that hold the top and carry the design.
• Honed finish Smooth to the touch and matte to the eye.

Behind a sofa or by the door

The 40 inch length gives a real surface along an entry wall or behind a large sofa, while the 15 inch depth keeps it from crowding a hallway. The 32 inch height suits lamps, framed art and the keys and decor of everyday life. It pairs well with curved mirrors and sculptural lighting in a warm minimal room, and it also suits commercial interiors, galleries and transitional homes.

• Size 40" L × 15" W × 32" H, honed travertine.
• Construction Solid travertine throughout, top and base.

Crated for a safe delivery

Each console ships in a protective wooden crate. Solid travertine is heavy, so plan for two or more people to uncrate and place it. A level floor lets the base bear evenly so the top sits true, and felt pads or a rug protect the floor beneath.

Why we chose it

• All travertine Top and base are both natural stone, a single material from floor to top.
• Sculptural base Stacked spheres that make the console a focal point.
• Made to order Each console is made to order, with custom sizes and finishes on request.

Custom sizes and finishes

This console is made to order on two schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, and the 8 to 14 week option is the lower priced choice for the same size and finish. Custom sizes, finish changes and design adaptations are also available. To start one, contact us with the measurements of the space.

Care

Travertine is a porous calcite stone, here with a honed face. Acidic liquids can etch it and strong pigments can stain it if left to sit. Its open grain wears into a patina over the years.
