This round coffee table is carved from vein-cut Light Travertine quarried in Turkey, filled and polished. It is shaped as a unified piece from solid travertine blocks, so base and top work as a single structural unit. The table measures 24 inches in diameter and 14 inches high. Warm stone tones and organic veining make each one different, and no two tables share the same pattern.

Carved as one unit

Carving the table as one piece takes hours of specialized labor, but it means there are no joints and nothing to assemble, so the table does not wobble or separate over time. The natural pits of the stone are filled by hand with color-matched material, and the surface is then polished to a smooth, buttery finish. The filled surface keeps crumbs and dust from collecting in open pores. With age, travertine develops a patina, a subtle deepening of tone in which the veining becomes more pronounced. Each table is made by craftsmen in Turkey.

This table is made to order on two schedules: the 2 to 3 week option ships sooner, and the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice for the same size. Care

Light Travertine is a porous calcite stone, here filled and polished. Acids in food and drink can etch the polish, and acidic or abrasive cleaners can damage the stone. Periodic resealing maintains stain protection and brings out the warmth of the stone, and how often depends on use.
