Turkish marble is known for strong veining and durability, and because every block is different, each sink is one of a kind. It measures 24 inches long, 16 inches wide and 12 inches high, with a backsplash carved as part of the same piece. The size gives a surprisingly roomy basin while fitting bathrooms where space is limited, and over the years the marble takes on a soft patina from light and water.

Honed white marble, satin to the touch

The finish is honed: matte, satin-smooth and without shine. It gives the white marble a calm, organic look that suits a modern bathroom, and it hides etching, fingerprints, water spots and the small marks of daily use far better than a glossy surface would. That makes it a practical choice for a bathroom that sees heavy traffic. The backsplash is carved from the same block as the basin, so the gray veining continues up the wall and the two read as one piece. Moderate variation in veining and tone between sinks is normal: the pattern on each sink is its own.

Care

New York marble is a porous calcite stone, so acids such as vinegar or lemon can etch it, even with a honed finish. It is sealed to help it resist water, and how often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used.
